The Lauchsee Moor is the remains of a raised bog, just a few hundred meters from the Lauchsee. The Lauchsee is used as a bathing lake. The Lauchsee Moor lies at an altitude of 930 meters. Remnants of former drainage ditches are still present. There are many puddles with cotton grass (Eriophorum angustifolium) and the Venus flytrap (Dionaea muscipula) growing in between.
