The Ziegelhof pond is artificially created and has a drainage pipe. When the drainage pipe is clear, only a low water level is present. However, it often gets clogged, causing the water level to rise significantly and flood the adjacent forest and meadow. Right next to the Ziegelhof pond, horse manure from the nearby horse farm is often stored. Therefore, the pond is usually heavily eutrophic.
